Our start at homesteading !

  So as this spring draws closer to summer we have decided to try our hand at some small homesteading ! With that said we have started by raising our flock of chickens we have recently gotten ! I have never owned a chicken before this .. however i do remember my grandma raising chickens and i remember helping her collect eggs on the farm she once had .  Egg collecting was a favorite of mine as well as feeding the bottlefed calves .. We dont have any calves just yet .. but im hoping it isnt to far off ! I would love to grow our homesteading to cows, pigs and maybe even rabbits and goats in no certain order . I think the raising of your own food is not only healthy but it teaches the cycle of life .   It can also show children basic life survival skills so if anything happens they would be able to fend for themselves .  Now without further adue here are the newest members
of our family !!
